As this home became their retirement residence, the homeowners wanted to transform the exterior into a space that felt brighter, more inviting, and enjoyable for years to come.
Over the course of several months, JJB Home Improvements transformed the exterior of this Cedarburg home one phase at a time. The project began with painting the board-and-batten siding and brick to create a peaceful, countryside aesthetic. Aging windows were replaced, and new shutters were installed to refresh the home’s overall appearance.
The centerpiece of the transformation was a large custom-covered deck. We also refreshed the existing greenhouse with new glass panes, a new door, and a repainted metal frame to complement the antique bronze tones used throughout the home’s exterior. Together, these improvements reawakened the home’s original mid-century character while evolving it into a warm, modern farmhouse style.
To ensure accuracy and efficiency, we partnered with Milwaukee-based Hunt Architecture to prepare construction documents for the front deck and the arbor above the garage. After securing permits from the Village of Cedarburg, construction moved forward smoothly.
